Ahead of the spring semester, Western Technical College (WTC) in Texas has deployed a new ed-tech platform from Conext.me, an ed-tech software company.
WTC will use Conext.me’s communication, e-sign, and workflow platform-as-a-service solution to support students during COVID-19 hybrid learning. “Conext’s bi-direction text-based communications, e-signatures, and no-download video chat enables Western Tech’s faculty and staff to continue educating their students regardless of their physical location,” Conext.me said in a press release.
“We make a promise to every student. Conext helps us fulfill that promise regardless of where the student is physically,” stated Brad Kuykendall, CEO of Western Technical College. “Conext enables us to communicate with students virtually via text, email, and video. We can continue delivering our programs to students online, as an online-offline hybrid, or on our campuses.”
In a press release, Conext.me broke down the details of its software platform. With the new solution, WTC employees will be able to complete front and back office tasks regardless of physical location. The solution also offers smart AI-enhanced work-flows that reduce repetitive tasks. For students, the technology “gently nudge[s]” them to complete tasks and store completed documents within its software or automatically uploading into a school’s student information system.
The new technology also helps WTC’s career services teams. They will be able to use the solution to manage job postings from employers, create job alerts from millions of jobs imported every day, and create resumes and modern career websites for students and graduates.
